Embattled Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi has moved to court seeking to have national assembly speaker Justin Muturi mentioned for disrespect for not letting him back to Parliament.
The MP claims Mr Muturi has declined to allow him into Parliament grounds and has consequently been left with no choice but to introduce contempt case against him.
Wandanyi’s lawyer Antonny Olouch says the national assembly speaker risks being stanch to civil jail for at least six months for declining to comply with a court order that blocked his directive.
He has sued the speaker, the parliament and the Attorney-General Githu Muigai.
