    Police in Kisumu have commenced a manhunt to capture four dangerous prisoners who have been reported to have escaped Kibos Maximum Security Prison.

    The prisoners have been reported to have used hacksaws to make their way out of the profoundly guarded facility.

    It is reported that the four escaped inmates have been recognized as Douglas Onyancha and Idd Salim Sifuna, who were both serving life sentences for robbery with violence. Others are Kennedy Wesonga serving a life sentence for rape and Kenneth Lekesho serving twenty years for defilement.

  • Police Officers Thwart Recce Squad Attack In Ruiru

    Police officers operating from Ruiru General Service Unit headquarters on Wednesday thwarted an alleged attack of Recce headquarters in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

    Eric Ngethe Kanyingi identified with his service number 97861 is reported to have quit from the unit in the year 2014 after he was linked to terrorism.

    His house in Githurai 44 was on Wednesday raided by police officers where an AK47 rifle, other materials and 178 bullets were seized. Police believe the officer could have been radicalized to join a terror group leading to the officer’s arrest during the 2am operation.

    KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion has logged a statement with the directorate of criminal investigations after receiving numerous death threats.

    According to his lawyer Paul Muite, Sossion received a death threatening message via a text.

    Mombasa county police officers have managed to arrest 30 suspects believed to have been sucking women’s breast in the county.

    Maalim Mohamed the county commissioner confirmed the apprehension saying the mob members have been terrorizing residents in the coast region.
